Mission Possible: Stories of Successful Community Outreach

The road to getting more affordable housing in communities is arduous.  While many applaud the idea of affordable housing, it seems that many also show up to city hearings to resist it.  However, there are strategies that can help you connect to supporters in the communities.  Panelists will share their stories - victories and lessons learned - from the trenches of community outreach.  Through their collective experience and discussion, attendees will learn proven strategies and see how those strategies played out in specific project examples.

Moderator: Lauri Moffet-Fehlberg, Senior Principal, Dahlin Group Architecture Planning

Speakers: Robert Ogilvie, Oakland Director, SPUR, Chris Maffris, Executive Vice President, Meta Housing, Leslye Corsiglia, Executive Director, SV@Home, Jan Lindenthal, Vice President Real Estate Development, MidPen Housing
