Celsius 44

  • Petaluma, California
  • St. James Properties

Winner of multiple awards for best attached project, Celsius 44 borrows from the industrial and agrarian aesthetics of the region to revitalize downtown Petaluma within its emerging Riverfront Warehouse District.

Set along a historic trolley line, the building designs of Celsius 44 respond to the streetscape, and respect the scale and character of its neighboring uses. Each home cleverly integrates its own private balcony or deck space with sliding industrial-styled warehouse doors that expand decks on the ground floor units.

Each three-unit building module contains a ground floor unit and two upper floor units with occasional fourth-story lofts that add to the aesthetic variety of the building's elevation. Maintaining its four-sided architecture, these buildings are also plotted in unison with townhomes, to create pedestrian-friendly streetscapes with alley-loaded garages tucked behind.
