Together, Markel, Sabol, and Whitacre will lead DAHLIN's diverse market sectors towards continued scalability and growth into new regional markets and industries. Their experience and leadership will help to align company strategy with core values and organizational objectives and priorities across all levels.

An architect with over 35 years of experience, Gregor Markel joined the DAHLIN team over 25 years ago and has since led diverse project teams through various building types and styles of architectural projects. As Managing Principal, he will lead the firm's civic and healthcare sectors, focusing on medical facilities and golf clubhouse projects. Markel is based out of DAHLIN's Pleasanton office and is supported by teams in Northern and Southern California.
As Managing Principal, Elizabeth Sabol will continue to lead DAHLIN's Education sector out of the firm's San Diego office. Sabol joined DAHLIN in 2022, bringing with her over 20 years of experience specializing in building relationships with TK-12 school districts and designing and renovating educational projects. She will work toward diversifying and growing the firm's Education sector to extend to community college clients and other districts statewide.
Based in DAHLIN's San Diego office, Sean Whitacre will lead the firm's Multifamily, Mixed-Use, and Affordable Housing sectors as Managing Principal. Whitacre has provided leadership at DAHLIN for the last 21 years, resulting in exceptional client experiences through elevated levels of collaboration and delivery methods. Clients rely on his advanced design skill and strategic council to evaluate the feasibility of complex sites and design projects that are financially successful.
These promotions come a year after DAHLIN's C-Suite expansion and the growth of its Austin office.
