Avena Bella has achieved a LEED for Homes Platinum certification for its site accessibility and adjacency to Cunningham Elementary School, the neighborhood shopping center, and bus transit, in addition to onsite parking alternatives that encourage bike riding and other modes of transportation. Energy-efficient technologies including heating and cooling with an energy recovery ventilation system, appliances, and solar panels over efficient roofing technologies, are integrated as well.
