It consists of 26 single room occupancy (SRO) units to house formerly chronically homeless individuals. The development also includes extensive outdoor recreation amenities and a large community room, exercise center, reading room, television lounge, and offices for case management.
The project achieved LEED Platinum certification by building with low VOC materials; integrating energy and water-efficient appliances; and equipping the community with solar thermal water heaters and solar electric panels. All of its construction base is made from 100 percent recycled content from local suppliers, and all water runoff is channeled into a bioswale retention pond and used onsite for water-efficient landscaping.
